about

Witch Of The East was born in 2019 from the ashes of Sister Doom duo Chambers. Unusual for a first release, Aeris Houlihan burst into the I'm Not From London offices with a beautifully intense and frenetic album which was 'Queen Of Insecurity", written in Vienna and recorded at the notorious Greenmount Studios in Leeds. This was followed up by a UK and European tour, alongside features in Alt Press and fashion magazines.

Following a spell in a European prison for restraining an aggressor who threatened her, for which she was released after trial, Aeris produced two singles, Fool's Paradise and Comfort Me, the latter written in jail and recorded and is being released appropriately in the wake of a pandemic.

Comfort Me explores the themes of isolation, incarceration, loneliness and the real human need for companionship, love and touch.

lyrics

Little Pills are everywhere
Little thrills, I'm in despair

I don't know who to trust
I don't know who to fuck

Comfort me, because I'm lonely

Levitate above my bed, never sleep, clear my head
Got a leash above around my neck
Can't control what happens next

Comfort me, because I'm lonely

Every time, I close my eyes
